Comparative Analysis of Yield and Quality of Yunyan 87 with Different Moderate Plant Shapes in Guiyang Tobacco Area

Abstract:

In order to improve the flue-cured tobacco quality and provide the discriminant standard of ideal moderate plant shapes in Guiyang tobacco area, Yunyan 87 was used as material to study the yield and quality of tobacco with different moderate plant shapes (T1: small, T2: medium, T3: large). The results showed that, there were significant differences in economic characters and quality of flue-cured tobacco among different plant shapes: the yield and quality of T2 treatment was the most coordinated, the output value was the highest, reaching 55 188.15 yuan/ha, and the proportion of high-grade tobacco reached 60.23%, which was 12.34, 8.59 percentage points higher than that of the T1 and T3 treatments, respectively. The average price of T2 treatment was the highest (27.12 yuan/kg), 2.14 and 1.47 yuan/kg higher than that of the T1 and T3 treatments, respectively. T2 treatment had more oil content and strong chromaticity, and its chemical coordination was better than that of the other two plant shapes. The total score of sensory quality of the T2 treatment tobacco was 2.30, 1.63 points higher than that of the T1 and T3 treatments, and the honey sweet fragrance style was more prominent. To sum up, the morphological parameters of ideal moderate plant shapes in Guiyang tobacco area were plant height 109.30cm, stem girth 10.70cm, pitch 5.70cm, remaining leaf number 17.33, cutters length 73.97cm and cutters leaf width 32.43cm.
