Effects of Different Seed Activators on Seed Germination of Sugarbeet

Abstract:

Five seed activators were used to process BT09 sugarbeet seeds in order to research the influence of different seed activators on sugarbeet seed germination characteristics. The results showed that certain concentraction of CuSO4·5H2O, KNO3, KMnO4, CoSO4·7H2O, and GA3 could improve the seed germination of sugarbeet. The promoting effects of 0.05g/L CuSO4·5H2O, 0.10g/L KNO3, 2.0g/L KMnO4, 0.8g/L CoSO4·7H2O, and 75mg/L GA3 had the best effect, which was significant statistictally.
