Genetic Diversity and Phenotypic Trait of Chinese Tradional Famous Mungbean

Abstract:

According to the data of 24 phenotypic traits, we analysed the phenotypic diversity of mungbean germplasm from 7 provinces (cities and districts). The results showed that the coefficient of variation (cv) of pod number per plant was maximum by 46.28%. Plant height and node number had the highest diversity with index of 2.04. Mungbean from Datong (Shanxi province) possessed the most abundant genetic diversity followed by that from Zhangjiakou (Hebei province). The total 90 mungbean materials were divided into 4 subgroups based on the phenotypic cluster analysis. The materials in the first subgroup were mainly from Zhangjiakou (Hebei province), Inner Mongolia and Datong (Shanxi province). The second subgroup were from Baicheng (Jilin province) and Qigihar (Heilongjiang province). The resources from Shaanxi and Beijing were classified into the other 2 subgroups, respectively.
