Pathogenicity and Biological Characteristics of Verticillium wilt of Sunflower in Ningxia

Abstract:

In order to clarity species of sunflower Verticillium wilt pathogen, the occurring regularity of the disease was analyzed and the key control technology was studied. In the research, species of the pathogens are identified by morphology and biological methods; and the important biological characteristics and pathogenicty of the pathogens were researched by general biologic method. The identified results of pathogen showed that main pathogens causing the sunflower Verticillium wilt areVerticillum dahliae in Ningxia.Research on biological characteristical of pathogen showed that the growth temperature range was from 10℃ to 30℃, the pathogenic hyphae optimum growth temperature was 25℃ in dark; the optimum pH range was 5-6; the optimal carbon and nitrogen sources were starch and glycine; And the lethal temperature was 50℃.
