Analysis of Peroxidase Zymogram and Genetic Effects between Rice Lines and Their Parents During Grain Filling

Abstract:

The dynamic changes of peroxidase zymogram of the C and their parents at the grain filling stage were analyzed by renaturation electrophoresis. The results showed as follows: (1) The C showed a different type of new peroxidase zymogram than parents in grain filling stage, the C band type partial A and the enzyme activity changes was similar to the B. (2) The 52kD new band was detected in the mid-filling stage of C. The 53kD band was detected only in the late filling stage of the A and C, and enzyme activity of the C was weaker than that of the A. (3) 70~63kD in A, 63~58kD and 42kD in the B, both of them didn’t detect in all filling stage in C. Peroxidase zymogram differences in C resulting from parental gene interaction were expected from breeding. Further study on the relationship between the new band and the differential zymogram and the new progeny traits would provide important theoretical basis for hybrid rice breeding.
