Germplasm Resource Protection and Breeding Innovation Status and Development Countermeasures——Taking Hunan and Hainan Provinces as Examples

Abstract:

Since the implementation of the third national crop germplasm resources census, Hunan and Hainan provinces have actively carried out the census of germplasm resources, and successively issued relevant policies and regulations to promote the development of the modern seed industry. Agricultural germplasm resources protection and breeding innovation have achieved success. On the basis of summarizing the basic practices of the two provinces, the challenges of the current development of the two provinces are analyzed from the strengthening top-level design, strengthening germplasm protection, establishing and improving the modern seed industry innovation system, improving commercial breeding ability, and improving the implementation industry intellectual property protection and promoting the level of development of seed industry proposes development countermeasures to provid reference for germplasm protection and breeding innovation in China.
