Comparative Study of Introduced Sugarcane Varieties (Lines) in Guangxi

Abstract:

In this study, four different sugarcane varieties (lines) were used to experimentally compare their adaptability and agronomic traits. The results showed that agronomic traits of Liangzhe 02-6 and Liangzhe 03-81 were better than those of Xintaitang 22(CK), including higher tillering rate, plant height, stem diameter and stalk and yield in Liangzhe 02-6. Although sucrose content was lower, Liangzhe 02-6 had more sugar yield per hectare than those in CK, about 2.08t/hm 2 and 2.86t/hm 2,respectively. For the Liangzhe 03-81, sucrose concent was significantly lower than that of CK. In addition, Liangzhe 02-6 had strong drought and cold tolerance.
