Simplified Cultivation Techniques for Millet Hybrid Jingu 50 of Herbicide Resistance

Abstract:

The research of seedling thinning, herbicide screening, simplified cultivation techniques and optimum planting density in Jingu 50, a hybrid millet of herbicide resistance was studied. The results showed that the combination of Jingu 50 and varieties without herbicide resistance with a ratio of 1:0.5 and 1:1 was better to keep seedling density with a seeding quantity of 12kg/hm 2. Herbicide screening results showed that 10% Propazine WP’s and 40% Prometryn WP’s were better for weeding. When 56% MCPA WP and 57% 2,4-D Butyl EC were sprayed in millet three-leaf stage, it brought injury on seedling, even to death, which was contrary to the previous studies and needed further research to verify. The optimum planting density for Jingu 50 was about 225 000 plants/hm 2.
