Preliminary Comparison on Characteristics and Quality of Direct Seeding Rice in Yinbei Irrigation Areas of Ningxia

Abstract:

The purpose of this experiment was to screen good rice cultivars for direct seeding and promote the cultivar replacement and update in Yellow River irrigation region, The comparative experiment for nine direct seeding rice was carried out through interlaboratory comparison in Nanliang farm, and the growing stage, germination situation, tiller number, earing percentage, main economic character, yield and quality were recorded. The results showed that under the same management condition, the Ningjing 41 and Jingning 32 with proper growing period, high earing percentage, outstanding economic character, high yield and great potential productivity were fit for extension in this area. For G19, although the agronomic character was worse than control, the processing quality and appearance quality were superior to other test varieties, which had great promotional potential as good rice variety.
