Differences in Mineral Nutrition Qualityof Different Potato Varieties

Abstract:

In order to understand the nutrient differences among different varieties of potato, we selected 20 tetraploid potato as test materials to carry out the field test for one year, measured and compared zinc, iron,and potassium contents in potato tubers. The result showed that the variation of potassium and iron content in tubers was small, but there was big variation in zinc content. The potassium content in the 20 varieties of Dongnong 310, Kexin No.22, Kexin No.27, were more than 300mg/100g FW. The iron content of Dongnong 310, Atlantic, Dingshu No.3, Zhongshu No.5, Favorita, Kexin No.12, Dongnong 308 more than 2.20mg/100g FW. The zinc content of Kexin No.12, Dongnong 308 and Kexin No.22 was higher than 0.80mg/100g FW. The potassium and the iron contents of Dongnong 310 were the highest, but the zinc content of Kexin No.12 was the highest in all the varieties.
