Yield and Economic Benefit of Potato under the Different Cultivation Patterns in Northwest Yunnan

Abstract:

The experiment was conducted in Taian county of Lijiang city in Yunnan Province from 2014 to 2016 to compare the effects of ridge-furrow planting without plastic film mulching after flat planting (RFAF), half mulching only on ridges (RFHM), soil covering after plastic film mulching only on the ridges but not on furrows and no mulching on ridges and furrows on yield and economic benefit and select the best pattern of drought resistant cultivation. The results showed that the average yield and the economic benefit of RFHM was the highest in three years. The RFAF was the simple and labor saving cultivating techniques.
